VeteransDon Wiscaver Jr., Was born in the Washington hospital and grew up in Montgomery. He enlisted in the Navy on July 1, 1982 and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1988. He served aboard the USS Denver LPD-9 based in San Diego, CA.
Donald L. Roach Born 9/16/1929 three miles south of Odon In. in his home Attended Lasca grade school Attended Odon High school Graduated in 1947 Drafted into the Army March 1951 Took basic training at Camp Atterbury In Tank Company, 112 Reg. 28 Infantry Div Did maneuvers in Operation Southern Pine Advanced tank training Fort Irwin, Ca. Did a tour of duty in Germany 1951-1953 Discharged March 1953 Acquired the rank of Staff Sergeant Now live in New Palestine In.
Sandy Sommers Melton Served in the US Air Force from May 15 1975 to December 14 1979. Acquired the rank of SSgt, Honorably Discharged. Sandys family still lives in Washington, Daviess County. Where she hopes to return upon her husbands retirement from the Military
Don Traylor Served in the U.S.Marine Corps from Nov 1975 to Nov 1988. He attainde the rank of Staff Sergeant, and he recieved an Honorable Discharge. Mr. Traylor currently lives in Kansas City Missouri. His Daughter Erica and his Grandson Clint reside in Washington IN. (Donated by Don Traylor, 2002)
Michael Murray, Sgt. From Washington IN. 101st Airborne Division. He was returning home for Christmas from a Middle East Peacekeeping mission when their DC-8 crashed during takeoff in Gander, Newfoundland. (Donated by Richard Worthy, reworthy@aol.com).
